fete paradiso at governors island

the last saturday we were in new york,

we took the ferry to governors island 

from greenpoint, brooklyn

it was really cool

there were vintage swings

and a carousel

we went on almost every ride

here is penelope wondering 

if she is tall enough-

she was.

a little cotton candy break

lots of space to explore

there was a little garden too.

you could walk a goat for 5 minutes

it was a little tricky 

getting the goat to walk back

one day in new york

we arrived at grand central station 

and walked to the 

new york public library

through bryant park 

with a stop for

 a ride on the carousel 

a hotdog stand

in midtown

and times square for a photo 

with new york city's finest

then we were on the upper west side

for burgers and fries at shake shack

before a visit to

strawberry fields

then we were at ward III 

in tribeca

and a graffiti book signing

on the lower east side

a walk through little italy

before dinner 

in the east village

and a late night 

snack at papaya king 

on st mark's place

disney world

we just spent 

five days

 at disney world

first a visit to animal kingdom

and lunch with mickey mouse

we met donald duck

penelope had

ears for that.

there was some tiger viewing too.

and we went on

expedition mount everest

and an african safari

then we were at epcot

and the magic kingdom

we met lots of characters

and penelope dined with cinderella

we rode the carousel

and toured the haunted mansion

we climbed up into 

the swiss family robinson treehouse

and saw a parade

on our last day, one of the

"cast members" 

asked penelope if it was her first time at disney-

she said yes. 

then he asked her if she was

excited to come back-

she replied,

"i'm happy i went on the rides because

we will probably never come back. there are so many other 

places to see in the world."
